God’s Word About Life

This devotion is a personal testimony from a guest contributor, Danielle Dobbins. This is Miss Dobbins’ first written testimony. The beauty of her insights in this written piece are an ideal addition to this website.

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not anything made that was made. In him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light that all men through him might believe. He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light. That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world. He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. – John 1:1-10

All the things that you see around you such as the trees, the rivers, the lakes, the flowers, the oceans, the beautiful blue skies, the weather, people, animals, and forests were all made by God. Your church that you go to was made by Jesus. It took time for God to write words in The Bible. Every scripture that you read was written by The King. The sun that shines is because of Him, and when it gets dark it is also because of Him.

I can look around me and see that God is with me everywhere I go. It is amazing that God is with you through every storm that comes in your life. It is important to never take anything that God gives you for granted.
